Snow condition
There was about 15 cm of fresh snow in the valley and a good 30 cm at the top. The base is missing. Almost nothing is possible in dense forest, but rewarding in sparse forest today. Ridges are blown off, on summits you can see the grass shimmering through, but still with a layer of fresh snow.
Snow quality
Below about 1500m the fresh snow was a bit heavy, but above that it was loose.
Risks
The snow was less packed and windy than expected. In rather flat terrain in the forest and mountain pine belt, the terrain was acceptable.
Overall impression
A rewarding day, even if it is - as before - always scratchy under the skis. The fresh snow was fun and much less packed than expected. During the day it continued to snow more or less heavily. Visibility was good, except when a wisp of fog rolled through.
