It snowed here too (another 20 cm today), but with zero base. All in all, significantly less snow than just a few kilometers further east, above the tree line it is very drifty, with today's visibility alone difficult in terms of snow conditions, generally scarce, you can get through a lot on the ground. Open terrain is best at lower altitudes, but it's not really that good yet.

Snow quality

Quite good thanks to the fresh snow today, despite the significantly higher temperatures compared to Friday. Too bad there's no base underneath...

Risks

Tense. Even below the tree line, the fresh snow starts very easily, but usually not thick enough to cause any real problems. Further up, with the heavy loads, it is certainly unfavorable.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

At least there is snow now, although you can't do much with it. Even as a basis for further snowfall, this is only sufficient in open terrain below the tree line.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
