Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Below average. OK at the top of the area, poor at the bottom. In the Riffelsee area, nothing works at the bottom.
Snow quality
Changeable. Wind-influenced fresh snow at the top (approx. 15-20 cm), changing to damp snow (still in the glacier area), all good to ski. At the bottom it takes your shoes off a little.
Risks
I would confirm the two from the LLB, with a tendency towards three. Changing strongly with the altitude. There was a lot of wind at the top today (Wildspitzbahn was closed) and the tracks were always being pulled off. Heavy snow at the bottom. There was a small wet snow slide on the "emergency route". There was blasting in the morning, but I couldn't discover any slopes.
Overall impression
Funny ski day. Wildspitzbahn closed. Good weather at first, then lousy visibility: very bright despite the fog and still ground visibility: zero zero. The weather in the Inntal valley was apparently fine today, but not at the top. The snow has not yet been burnt by the sun. When the Wildspitzbahn opens tomorrow, it could be good. For the descent from the Mittagsscharte, the snow is getting scarce and you should know where to go. Oh yes: Heinz-Rüdiger (hipster dad with a top moustache and folding sunglasses lenses on his original 80s vintage glasses) and his wife Ute (longboardday one-piece suit pulled up to the max and super-comfortable Heckeinsteiger) are also here with their sons Tschann-Luckaah and Marvin (two GoPros each - on the helmet and in front of the chest - on Hellbent, stylishly without a backpack)! Meaning: It's vacation time - don't forget your earplugs for the gondola rides!
