Very poor at the bottom. In the approach towards Schneewaldalpe on the road, the stones often peeked out. From the Alpe (approx. 1300 m) you can then speak of a closed snow cover. We had no contact with the ground at the top. Descent then partly over almost completely snow-free hiking trails in the forest.
Snow quality
About 10 cm of fresh snow on top of a hard layer of old snow. Yesterday was very even and pleasant to ski on. On the sunny side, it was probably nothing more today.
Risks
In the steep terrain, which was over 35 degrees, the top 10 cm came up in places. Otherwise, everything made a very safe impression.
Overall impression
Due to the difficult ascent, there were only 3 other hikers at the sphere the whole day. Very nice day of touring!
