Another 30 cm have fallen since Saturday. Just great on the north side in protected reservoir areas!
Snow quality
The current fresh snow is of the cold, fine variety. It could hardly be better and we are in April! Only a few minutes of sunshine today, so the fine fresh snow stayed fine :).
Risks
More tense than the last few days. Above the tree line, the wind was quite strong in some places and was blowing snow. The wind also produced clearly visible cornices that were nowhere near as thick on Saturday. You should definitely be careful in the coming days. More open forest slopes created a lot of sluff on the descent today. Finding good places to stop.
Overall impression
Today was even better in terms of snow than the last few days, which were already very good. Today only just missed out on 5 stars
