There has been a good amount of fresh snow, but that doesn't hide the fact that the snow conditions are still poor. But it helps a lot, even in the more open forest where practically everything except the north side had melted away by last week, you can now (carefully) ski again. Above the tree line, it's now the best snow conditions of the season, although there are still a few stones sticking out.

Difficult. Unfortunately, I was late and didn't really dare to go far above the tree line on my own. The fresh snow (I'd estimate 40cm, but it had shrunk to just under 30cm) was already very wet and heavy by midday up to well over 2000m. Somehow still somewhat fun, but it had nothing to do with powder. Towards the valley (from about 1300m) it soon became really slushy.

Risks

Tense. Although the wind was limited, the snow is completely bound by the high temperatures. In addition to the risk of slipping, you also need to watch out for wet snow slides.

At least there was fresh snow, but there might have been more elsewhere today...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
