Snow condition

Today we were only out and about between 1500 m and 1800 m on the north-west side. The snow conditions there are still solid. Apart from very few snowflakes in the summit area, there was also rain at this altitude. On the south side, skiing starts at around 1500 m/ 1600 m. Around midday on the way back, there were temperatures of around +5 °C (rising) from around 900 m downwards and very heavy rain.

Still ok on the piste in the morning. In the terrain it was already really wet and the snow was very heavy. As the rain progressed, it got worse and worse.

Risks

There were stormy winds above the tree line. The snow cover is soaked to varying degrees. At around 1800 m, it's around 20 cm and as the altitude drops, it quickly gets down to one meter and almost to the ground.

The low point of the season has been reached! If we hadn't already planned something with friends today, I certainly wouldn't have got up early in the morning.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
