Snow condition
Above 1500m about 50 cm. You don't need stone skis on the open areas in this location. In the forest, however, absolutely nothing works and even at lower altitudes it gets relatively thin.
Snow quality
Good, although not quite as feather-light pow as on the Woe. You notice a certain amount of moisture, which makes the snow a bit slower. Would be great (with the right base) in steeper bouncy terrain, my choice of route was a bit too flat.
Risks
Still relatively manageable, only on very steep grassy slopes could I imagine slipping, especially with the threat of warming. Otherwise, you have to watch out for anything lying around outside the meadows.
Overall impression
The alpine meadow slide season is finally officially open in BGD!
Unfortunately, I chose too flat a terrain today, otherwise it could have been quite good. As it was, it was more of a stroll with short downhill sections.
Visibility was very poor at the top. There were quite a few people out for the weather.
Unfortunately it's getting very warm now, but we've made a start! Let's see how it goes from here!
