Snow condition
According to my observations over the last few weeks, the northern congested areas have the most snow. Usually a little less on the main ridge, just a lot of blowing. A bit more in the more westerly accumulations around the Zugspitze. Terrain edges often blown off, otherwise great and you can go full speed.
Snow quality
Nothing to complain about, what came (a good 30cm) came without any noticeable wind influence. But it was still enough for some drifting snow. Sunny in the afternoon with a very light sting, but it was still good here late.
Risks
Tense!!! Very good blasting success in the areas. Several avalanches were triggered today, even by very experienced skiers in moderately steep terrain. Defensive behavior is advisable! Tomorrow it is supposed to rain a lot in the afternoon. Bear this in mind when planning, especially if you have to go out into a valley in the afternoon.
Overall impression
A good day, but unfortunately incredibly busy! The areas are through for tomorrow. Let's get on the rollercoaster.
