Snow condition

On Saturday there was a thick blanket of snow almost everywhere, followed by around 30-40 cm of fresh snow during the night, depending on the altitude. In the valley, everything was covered in snow in the morning.

During the night, the finest powder was added to the closed snow cover, which consisted mainly of broken and settled snow. At least in the forest, the fresh snow must have fallen without the influence of wind, as it got quite cold during the night and the snow was very fluffy.

Risks

The snow cover made a good impression, there was little slipping and I didn't see any cracks in the snow, and as visibility was poor all morning, we spent most of the time in the forest. You have to watch out for roots here, so we drove with the handbrake on.

Overall impression

I was very surprised at how much fresh snow we got during the night. The quality was also very good.
It feels very good to finally get the fresh snow on my face :).

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
