Zu nasser Schnee von Urnerboden Richtung Clariden
Snow condition

Snow condition
The Klausen pass road is currently cleared up to about 1550 meters, then a lot of snow. However, there is a sign at the end of the village of Urnerboden prohibiting passage. If you start there, it is probably easiest to carry on the road first. From about 1450 meters, however, there is a continuous blanket of snow next to the road.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, the foehn had not frozen through, the top 15-20 cm were damp.
Risks
We set off at 5am and turned around 45 minutes later because of the wet snow. The ascent in the morning would probably have been fine, but with the daytime warming we weren't comfortable with it.
Overall impression
Sometimes you lose, sometimes the others win ;-) At least the dawn was very impressive in the scenery.
