Snow condition
Unchanged good. Valley locations easily accessible. But from now on it will thaw considerably during the day. The good times are over for now. Let's see what's left until the end of March and whether there will be any more...
Snow quality
Harsch or slush/slush on the south side, no firn yet. Powder on the north side down to the valley until midday, then rapid transition to dull, slowing wet snow. Not so great tomorrow after a clear night. From approx. 1200m, powder even after midday if no sun came in.
Risks
It quickly relaxed. Today was a 1/2 spent, which was fine in my opinion. Nothing observed.
Overall impression
After 3 very good days in the Allgäu, today was the crowning glory with First Lines from Hochgrat Nord in top powder. Even better than a week ago on Thursday. Up to and including yesterday it was too tricky for me (and everyone else), today it was perfect. Unfortunately a flash in the pan. Too high temperatures destroyed the great conditions in the valley and above from midday today. But no matter, the triple and today's finish were perfect. Top week!
