Not much has changed here since the last snowfall. There has been more or less no wind for the last two days, only some snow has fallen out of the fog (but only in the valley). The base is okay in areas protected from the wind, but the conditions are very changeable in open areas above the tree line. Enemy contact was sporadic.

Despite the low temperatures, sunny slopes are now somewhat uncomfortable to ski on. However, just a few degrees out of the sun are enough to enjoy undisturbed powder. Even if the snow is already a few days old, it is still top quality.

Risks

The situation here is still very pleasant at the moment. Either there is no snow or there is so much snow that even a blind marmot should be able to see where it is coming from. We avoided larger accumulations of the latter type and still got our money's worth.

The Franconian would say it fits. However, the shape of the cap below 2000 m surprised us all.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
