Snow condition
The amount of snow is decent for this time of year and we were actually able to ski down almost as far as the car. The decisive factor for this was the snowy last 2 weeks. Nevertheless, the warm temperatures are affecting the snow cover and deeper regions are thawing out.
Snow quality
The snow on our tour was not good. But I think that was mainly due to our less than favorable choice of tour. The gully was littered with frozen avalanche cones, places with a slippery harsch cover and sometimes with a cover that did not support skiers. However, due to the influence of the sun, some parts were partially firned up and so we got 2 stars.
Risks
Caution is advised here. The snow cover was no longer completely frozen through in the night from April 10 to 11. The snow cover was hard on the surface, but the high temperatures soften the snow quickly. Pay attention to steep and sunny slopes.
Overall impression
Despite the adverse conditions, we had a lot of fun today. The weather was better than expected and we were still able to ski quite well through the sulz (firn) in places.
