Snow condition
Intensive tracking was the order of the day again today. Around 25 cm of fresh snow in wind-protected areas. At 1100 m there is now around 75 cm. Compared to last Thursday, the open terrain looks much better. The influence of the wind was somewhat less during the last snowfall and now the amount of snow is quite manageable.
Snow quality
Beautiful powder snow, the wind wasn't a problem on the descent today. It was quite deep in sheltered corners.
Risks
After doing the same tour last Thursday, we were well warned today. Due to the poor visibility and the snowfall on Saturday, which came without wind, the danger spots are difficult to recognize. Due to the now usable snow cover, the transitions from little to more should definitely not be underestimated. There was always sleet in the last snowfall. Today's precipitation during the tour was also often in the form of sleet. The options are limited at the moment and experience is essential! Now we'll have to wait and see how the whole situation develops with the warm impulse of the next few days.
Overall impression
Taking advantage of the good snow before it gets a bit warmer. I hope the hairdryer doesn't ruin too much
