Snow condition
You can tell that there's been a lot of thawing recently, even in the forest it's already been scarce at lower altitudes. It's good that there's now a snow push, to be precise it was probably just under 20cm at 1300m, further up at 1800m it's closer to 30cm, so the base should be reasonably suitable except on south-facing slopes and in dense forest. Nevertheless, caution is advised, especially at lower altitudes, as stones, branches etc. are still easy to catch.
Snow quality
The fresh snow is relatively wet, above about 1400m it's still quite nice to ski, below that it's sticky and almost slushy in the valley, at least on the shady side the fresh snow above about 1500m is on a soft base, so it's easily deep enough for face shots, but overall it's better, but that wasn't bad.
Risks
With the rather damp snow and the wind, it was certainly not easy, but we were well below the tree line.
Overall impression
Nice, a bit more and a bit drier fresh snow and a bit more base towards the valley would be nice, then it would be perfect. Maybe the next few days will work out.
