There was some snow up to the Taschachhaus (ascent on 06.04). Descent possible from the parking lot. There was still quite a lot of loose snow on the Taschachwand. We could not determine whether this was caused by the wind or had just trickled down from the wall.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

The first 800 m of great snow quality for a wall ascent. Then, from around 3200 m, massive changes in the snow. An approx. 20 cm thick wind cover and underneath a really "beautiful" and above all unpleasant layer of old snow. (Massive, over 1.5 m in places)

Risks

At the beginning of the gully there are clear remains of snow slabs that have fallen off (edges approx. 40 cm). In the gully, everything is fine and the change to the supergau from approx. 3200 m. (See snow conditions)

As neither of us had any ambitions for a Darwinarward, we didn't have to think twice and abandoned the ascent just below the exit. The descent through the gully was all the more rewarding.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
