Skitour Heidenkopf und Siplinger Kopf ab Balderschwang. Erstaunlich gute Frühjahrsbedingungen!

Snow condition
To be honest, I didn't think the tour would still be possible after the rain. But it was possible without unbuckling, of course on the toboggan run at the bottom and then at the top you are currently still relatively unrestricted in terms of route choice. The toboggan run only has a few centimetres of snow in places and will certainly snow out over the next few days.
Snow quality
Heavy rain grooves and a cracked snow cover have formed, when it breaks you sink in 5-10cm. Where there was sunshine (almost everywhere on our tour) the slush was really fun, but not excellent either. When there was no or too little sun, it was really hardly rideable
Risks
At this altitude, I would say it was relatively uncritical. Once, on a south-facing slope about 35 meters steep, the wet surface slowly disappeared below me. In the traverse towards Siplinger Kopf there was an old wet snow slide, which must have come off during the rain. I can't judge on the shaded side, but I think the conditions are quite similar due to the rain.
Overall impression
Unexpectedly good weather, unexpectedly good snow and unexpectedly cool scenery up there. In addition, only met three people the whole day, all in all an excellent tour
