Snow condition
Could be more...but you don't touch any fewer stones either. In the forest, there are no drawbridges. Ski tours below 1500 m no longer make sense at the moment.
Snow quality
Good powder snow from about 2000m. Partly covered by the wind. Some drift snow in places but mostly really good to ski. You can really let it go. From about 1700m downwards bad and below 1500m very very bad conditions. Icy mogul slopes on the local mountain. The big horror. Only the last few meters are covered in snow and then it's great again. Crampons are not yet necessary for the ascent, but they never hurt to have them in your backpack
Risks
2s today can be confirmed. We didn't see any fresh snow packs, but the old ones are still lying around preserved and you can get deep into them with the stick. We had a bit of respect for the angular weak layer today. We went up the final slope at around 2400m at almost 40 degrees with a lot of distance and the most defensive line, but in retrospect it was certainly easy in the orange area.
Overall impression
North over 2000m great to ride and hardly any people. It will stay that way as the weather warms up. The only sensible tour destination at the moment. Everything else is more like swamp skiing or ice sliding.
