Snow condition

Getting worse and worse. The meadow is coming through more and more on the sunny side. Pines are coming out again. But there would still be a base. Still 2 stars but strongly towards the lower end.

Snow quality

1 von 5 Sterne

Still dirty old powder in the shady forest. A few nice turns but mostly just muck. Lots of wind in the region. Break/sulz alternating with wind slabs.

Risks

The surface frost that I reported on in the last Cr's was largely destroyed by the wind. Safe conditions.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

There are far more winter hikers on the Hochries than ski tourers. In winter, you go ski touring, not hiking! The ascent track is completely destroyed. The current track doesn't really allow for a nice walking rhythm. It's better to burn off energy on the Kampen. You get more out of it there. It's gone from pretty good to bad in just a few days.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
