Snow condition
Here too, exposed ridges and crests are blown away and swept clean by the strong wind. The hollows and gullies are well felt and are perfect for riding. However, you can see the tension in the slopes and so we saved ourselves in the flatter area.
Snow quality
Very worked and pressed by the wind. Very fluffy in hollows but this has to be sought out. On straight open areas there is a cover on top that breaks now and then and then carries again.
Risks
On arrival at the valley station, there was a large avalanche in the parking lot coming from a south-facing slope at an altitude of around 2500m. This was cleared away with heavy equipment. The slopes are very tense and there were also some cornice fractures due to the heat. Defensive skiing is certainly an advantage.
Overall impression
Short but sweet. Bluebird and a motivated group.
