Snow condition
The snow cover has built up well in the meantime, but is still not sufficiently developed in some places. The wind has blown off some places and the snow is filling the gullies and hollows. Those who stay in them should no longer have any problems, but skiing down into the valley is not yet possible. Everything from about 1800m upwards can be done well.
Snow quality
It's rather a tragedy in the area, lots of wind and of course everything is chopped up. If you stay outside, you can still find good snow. The snow has held up well on the northern slopes today, but has become damp on the southern slopes over the course of the day. Presumably with a light cover from tomorrow.
Risks
I've been on the Sonnenkopf a lot for almost 10 years, in all avalanche stages now (except 5), but I've never seen so many loose boards in the area.boards were kicked loose behind every small edge of the terrain yesterday, marking the area. We deliberately kicked 1-2 small packs loose today, which went away surprisingly easily, and then went on the very flat tour to Muttjöchl and did 3 laps there. As everything there is under 30 degrees, it works quite well. I wouldn't recommend the big tours tomorrow and the next few days either.
Overall impression
Beautiful day with pleasant descents. You can have fun on the Sonnenkopf but you should choose your line carefully.
