Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne

With the snowfall until 06.01, the situation is now really very good. Below 1300 m it is more or less the first snowfall and forms the upcoming base. Currently, all expos are still well filled.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Above 1500 m clearly 5 stars! If you judge the quality down to the valley then it quickly becomes more difficult from 1300 m and from 800-900 m there is very wet fresh snow. Therefore only 4 stars overall.

Risks

Very critical. In the variant terrain with little wind and where regular blasting takes place but the critical amount of fresh snow was exceeded, only the sluff was an issue up to a maximum of 35°. In the forest it was also very critical due to the amounts. From around 1300, the snow was so wet that snow slabs could reach dangerous sizes. Blasting in the steep terrain above the tree line was almost all successful. The crack was mostly around 20-30 cm.

Overall impression

5 von 5 Sterne

Epicuous for us. If speed was possible, then you were regularly literally washed over by the amount of fresh snow. I had to stop several times to catch my breath. Unfortunately, the very critical LWL spoiled the fun.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
