Generally speaking, there is still enough snow above 1600m to be able to ski off-piste without coming into contact with stones. Further down it becomes a bit more critical in the forest. Whether it's worth it ... should depend on the area. I'll write all about the Nova here.

There was still good snow above 2000 - 2100m. No champ-pow but reasonably fun snow (unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it due to the lack of visibility). Further down, it started to get hard-packed and extremely icy. All variants are from slushy (on Saturday) downright hard as concrete (on Sunday) icy due to the big temperature difference.

Risks

Whether it was because of the poor visibility or simply the fact that we stayed on the slope, we couldn't spot any critical spots.

In general, the day was short and pretty unnecessary. Unfortunately, my cell phone gave up the ghost once again due to the cold. Fortunately, I replaced the battery today. I would recommend altitudes of > 2000m for the next few days (it's stayed quite cold). Anything below that is pretty unpleasant to ride.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
