North-east start at 1900m. Ski carry on the ascent 15 minutes. On the descent 2 minutes. That's sensational for the end of June and without a glacier. This is made possible by a filled stream bed that stretches forever through the green meadow, just wide enough for plowing... More than enough snow from 2200m upwards. From 2800m the glacier is very well snowed in. The lousy May and June have left a lot of snow at higher altitudes. You can hardly get there without carrying...except here.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

Totally soaked but not too deep snow up to 2800 m in the morning at 2 o'clock despite a clear night. Here already at 10 o'clock on the descent bottomless semolina snow. Frozen on the surface from 2800m. Then a breakthrough with sunshine. Nothing good - the rain and fresh snow of the last few weeks have not yet found a pleasant form due to the lack of sunlight. Nevertheless, there were a few good turns.

Risks

Relatively relaxed above approx. 2800m. Below that on the eastern slopes not without problems thanks to total soaking and sunlight. Several superficial wet snow avalanches triggered.

Overall impression

5 von 5 Sterne

Despite the mediocre snow quality, a fantastic end to the 15/16 season with the 109th day in the snow. I've been waiting for this for a long time = my whole life so far, to break the 100 mark, and now the time has come this winter. That's why I can't take anything away from the general tenor of the lousy winter... Everything was great! Next year we'll crack the 200 mark
