Not great, but already acceptable. There's about 30cm of fresh snow underneath (at least above the Gamsgarten station). Nothing stands in the way of the first (still somewhat tentative) forays into the terrain. I would still stay away from the glaciers due to the risk of crevasse falls.

Snow quality

Very good. Cold, fluffy powder, that hasn't happened yet this season. It was still very windy yesterday, but at least the last 15cm fell with relatively little wind.

Risks

Critical! Almost everything goes in steep terrain. Several snow slabs were triggered by freeriders, sometimes even in blown-in but relatively flat areas. The situation will also remain rather tense with the extreme cold and the wind picking up again.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

A start, even if not much is possible yet. Despite only mediocre operation, everything was completely tracked after less than 2 hours

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
