#maybruary is on. PinguinPrinzip in Engelberg

Snow condition
Even the approach is special: lushy green meets winter wonderland. The descent is possible, but you would probably get stuck due to the masses of snow. Theoretically, it is possible to ski down to Lake Lucerne :) PowderAlerts in May are huaregeil!
Snow quality
Face powder was possible on every! descent possible! Cold snow like we are used to in January. Only our legs were heavy, as they can't withstand the strain of 55cm of fresh snow for 8 hours in May. Deep, deep, deep. So even without visibility, it doesn't really matter WHERE you ski.
Risks
According to slf 3 = considerable. By midday, the snow was already more bound. In the afternoon, the angels had already started blasting. The glacier remained closed, whether due to visibility or avalanche danger was not clear. Caution is advised tomorrow. Safety first - driving in without seeing anything is only possible using the penguin principle.
Overall impression
Another rough day! PowderAlert 16 delivers what it promises. Visibility is of secondary importance.realization of the day: there are different types of white-outs. The most intense way to enjoy them is using the penguin method - skiing as close to the end of the skier in front as possible. There are face shots everywhere anyway. Balance is an advantage and after the Stanser Musiktage, a late start is sometimes worthwhile.
The day was topped off with FREE DRINKING and EATING at the Trübsee restaurant - it is spring after all. It should be celebrated and as a season ticket holder, you are spoiled with all your senses!
