Snow condition
There is actually only enough snow on the glacier. However, in order to ride seriously off-piste there, you need a good supply to avoid falling into the crevasses. But it doesn't stop people from skiing over glacier ice and landing upside down on a snow bridge. From Thursday to Friday we got about 15cm of cold fresh snow. Cosmetically it looks nice, as the snow is almost down to the ground.
Snow quality
On Friday, the 15cm of fresh snow was very good to ride, although you always managed to get through to the hard ground. Saturday the wind was raging and the whole thing was windswept with the odd powder pocket ;)
Risks
A group ventured over the Steinberg towards Trübsee. At the height of the glacier break, pretty much the entire slope was cleared. I don't know whether it was triggered by the skiers or self-triggering. At the moment, I would rather avoid north-facing and steep slopes "There are weak layers of snow in areas near the surface. Some of these are prone to disruption." (SLF)
Overall impression
Friday a bit of minigolfing - Saturday 2x Titlis in moderate snow conditions and very busy. Good weather, made a few good turns.
