You can ski down into the valley if the surface is favorable, even on the south side. It rained up to about 1000m today in the course of the morning, above that a good 10 cm fell, more towards the top. Due to the warmth, the snow cover has settled well, today was the first time this season that I couldn't get through anywhere! But I would still be careful in the forest.

Amazingly good!- Lower elevations up to 1000m: Deep, moist fresh snow, at the very bottom partly slushy, but super nice to smear and not slow either (ok, waxing certainly didn't hurt...)- 1000-1200m: Moist, somewhat heavy pow, but nice to ride- Above that: Powder, great in the wind-calmed areas, but of course not quite as fluffy.

Risks

In the lower elevations, the snow cover is deeply soaked and the wind has raged strongly on the NW side and has certainly transported a lot of snow. We were only out and about on the S-SE side, where everything looks deeply snow-covered and wind-calm.

Didn't expect much, but it was a mega-good day - the settling of the snow cover made everything seem much more stable and there were no more worries about getting through the snow in the open air today. At last you could step on the gas a bit more and jump around a bit. If it picks up a bit now and then it snows a bit more, then it could finally be enough for the lower and middle forest areas...
