Still very bad for the beginning of January. At least everything is white now and you can venture carefully into the terrain. A lot of things are still not possible because there is simply not enough snow, but it is quite good in areas that were already covered in snow before the last snowfall (which brought about 40cm) (there are not many of them...)
Snow quality
Still great, during the day the snow became quite heavy on sunny slopes. Good, minimally settled powder snow on the north side and at lower altitudes.
Risks
Critical. Quite obviously, steep, blown-in areas are very easy to trigger. As if on cue, numerous snow slabs were triggered there today by winter sports enthusiasts...
Overall impression
Good snow, great weather and not much activity off-piste for Hochfügen. Unfortunately severely limited by the lack of a base.
