The snow cover is creeping away due to the rain. Where the wind had already blown off the loose snow a few days ago, it is already pitting in some places. Otherwise there is still about 50-60cm of old snow cover between 700 and 1400m. More on leeward slopes and hollows. But often there is less. In the forest below 1000m, the forest floor is already peeking out again

Snow quality

Miserable braking snow dripping with rainwater at the start. From 1200m onwards it was a bit better but still raining and only briefly sleet. Even on steep slopes, you almost have to ski a shot to pick up speed.

Risks

Beware of wet snow avalanches in steep terrain!

Was ok to be out there to test the Gore Tex washing recommendation from PowderGuide, you don't miss anything skiing-wise. Great black clouds and epic strong winds make the tour a complete success anyway...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
