Overnight there was about 15 centimetres of fresh snow at 2,000 meters. Together with the old snow, this results in a base that only rarely offers rock contact. Nevertheless, a watchful eye is required at terrain transitions and elsewhere.

In Davos, the strength of the wind depends very much on the exposure. Where we were skiing today, I couldn't observe any wind influence. The snow was loose, light and evenly distributed. But this is supposed to be completely different on the Parsenn, for example.

Risks

A sharp 3 is advertised, which I can only confirm. Even on flat terrain, extremely large areas of subsidence and cracks were visible, especially in the lower layers. The base is anything but what we like. Meega watch out!!!

Overall impression

A fantastic day, even if the visibility wasn't quite good enough to go full throttle. Nevertheless, it was certainly the best day of the season. With a lot of restraint, the white can be enjoyed to the full. The wait is over, for the time being in any case....

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
