Großer Wildkamm - Neuschneeauflage auf fester Altschneeschicht

Snow condition
Enough snow to do the tour without touching the ground. There should be a little more in the valley.
Snow quality
In the upper area, the snow was surprisingly good - an approx. 15cm high layer of fresh snow (rather a bit wetter/heavier, but not so much that it would be noticeable in a negative way) lies on a compact layer of old snow, didn't feel slippery. In places it is blown off or hard and there were also old avalanches (probably from 2 days ago) both at the bottom and quite high up, where I would guess wet snow avalanches because of the shape (balls).
Risks
The situation report indicated level 2 below 1800 m, above that level 3. Everything felt stable on the descent from about 1700 m, we were traveling defensively (relief distances, slope inclination sufficiently flat - below 30 degrees).
Overall impression
After the warming and rainfall of the last two days, we hadn't expected the snow conditions to be so good. Unfortunately, the poor visibility took a bit of the fun out of it, so we were particularly attentive and careful. The descent was really fun in the upper area, but further down you had to be careful because of the old wet snow avalanche and because there was generally not much snow.
All in all, a great day of touring!
