We spent most of today between 1400 m and 1800 m in a north, north-west exposure. In this altitude range, there is about 30 cm to 50 cm of fresh snow lying loosely on the meadow. As it was the first intensive snowfall, there is logically no base. Some slopes were rolled during the week and there was about 15 cm to 20 cm of fresh snow on them. You could also let it run a bit there.

Very good. The last fresh snow fell on our tour without wind and the temperatures were also in the negative range, so the white gold was quite fluffy. Unfortunately, the possibilities are still limited as the base simply doesn't exist yet.

Risks

We couldn't see any danger spots on our tour. But we were only on the move up to 1800 m. It's difficult to say what it looks like high up in the Alps, as there was no visibility window today. The main danger for us today came from stones and "vegetables". Added to this was the poor visibility.

Fine first ski tour this winter. It can go on like this!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
