One model stands out for me, however, and has proven itself over the last few years. The Piko from Lupine Lighting Systems advertises with the motto: "smaller, lighter, brighter". As soon as you unpack it, you immediately notice that the actual lamp head is really small. And the small lamp is said to have a light output of an incredible 1800 lumens and weighs just 55 grams.

In the last 2 years, the Piko has proven itself in numerous activities, such as night biking, night ski tours or simply as a bright flashlight. The lamp delivers what it promises, even fast skiing through the forest at night or mountain biking in the dark are possible without any problems.

The lamp can be programmed individually, making it possible to set several light levels. There is also a flashing mode and an SOS mode. Another feature of the Piko is the different rechargeable batteries, which, depending on the model, allow the light to run at full power for up to 2 hours. There are also numerous accessories for the lamp. Thanks to the white light, the Piko is also suitable as a small photo lamp if you need a little extra illumination.

The workmanship and quality continue to impress me even after two years. And this is especially true after I've already had a few lamps from China with similar performance in my hands that only cost a fraction of the price. That's why the Piko has definitely earned the title of Gear of the Week for me.
