There were a few cm of fresh snow overnight. From the start, PP at 1,800m, to the summit and back, easily possible with skis and without stone contact, with a well-chosen line.

Rather modest. On our tour, almost all the expos were wind-capped, with fresh pow on top. On the sunny side, on the descent, already with a harsch cover. However, this can (still) be broken when actively skiing downhill. Above 2,500m, everything exposed to the wind is blown and capped. Unfortunately, the cover does not always hold. However, great pow can be found in wind-protected shady areas.

Risks

The 3 from the SLF yesterday is OK. The snow shoots were not quite as large on our tour, but they were easy to release. They slide off quite easily on the capped crust.

Another 3 stars for the weather, the exceptionally good snow conditions and the great tour. Many thanks and Merry Christmas to everyone who took the time to accompany me again this year in week 51.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
