Snow report Saalbach / Fieberbrunn, 01/18/2017

Kurzes Update: Die offensichtlichen Varianten sind alle niedergefahren. Auch die 10-15 Minuten-Hikes sind schon recht verspurt. Das wirklich gute zeug findet man schwer und eher schattseitig und man muss einiges dafür tun.

Mediocre 3 stars. Everything is possible, but sharks lurk everywhere. Especially the one around the Wildseeloder is really blown off and quite bad. But apart from that you can ride everything.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Just under 3 stars, on the sunny side it has a rather bad crust in places. On the shaded side and where the sun is not in front, you can find good powder. Nice to ski!

Risks

Watch out for drifts on the north side, they come off quite easily as we found out today. Otherwise it's rather on the safe side. You should also watch out for sliding snow avalanches on the very sunny slopes. There were a few to be seen today.

Nice day, lots of hiking but also really nice descents!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
