Snow report St. Moritz / Engadine, 02/10/2017

Snow condition
At least one meter too little. Even where it is not completely blown in, you can still catch stones even if you are very careful. The sharks lie in the blown-in snow, difficult to recognize, just below the surface. I only give it one star if I don't go off-piste at all, but it's borderline. At least it's white right down to the valley.
Snow quality
There was about 5cm of fresh snow in the morning, which was quite good on the slopes, even in the lower areas. At the top there's blown-in drift snow, which is pretty dull but creates quite a dusting. The lower sunny slopes were "cardboarded" in the fog and have a thin layer of hard snow.
Risks
Phew, you can see the large wind packs quite well. Personally, I'm also skeptical in the steeper, blown-in gullies. In general, however, there is very little snow and there is more danger from the sharks.
Overall impression
Sunshine, pretty good piste conditions and a general party atmosphere distract me a little from the small amount of snow. A nice day at the ski resort for the half-day price of 70
