Snow condition
Snow quality
Pure pleasure. We were covered in powder from top to bottom. It's now capped on the south side and below 1000m there's honey on the north side too.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Triebschner is clearly recognizable in all exposures. Above the tree line, we were only below 30 degrees. My touring partner claims to have heard humming noises at around 2000m - I'll take his word for it.
Overall impression
Faceshots in the Appenzell countryside! The snow was also head-deep throughout. The fifth star is only missing because not everything is possible due to the tense 3.
