Snow condition

The snow conditions are very good considering the time of year and the altitude (950-1,700 m). A descent to the parking lot was possible without any problems and even in the forest you didn't have to worry about contact with the ground

Snow quality

The snow quality is currently very good. Although there was no real base left at this altitude before the last north jam, you could ski the entire forest and actually jump all the pillows without having to worry too much about trees lying around. We were also able to find 40-50 cm of the finest powder, so face shots were the rule rather than the exception today.

No avalanches were observed. You can ski a lot in the sheltered forest, although a snowboard release would be very fatal here (trees, terrain edges, terrain traps).

Overall impression

With all the pillows, there was more air traffic today than at Frankfurt Airport during the vacation season. The finest powder snow, super playful terrain and at the end of March, what more could you want? With the warming from Tuesday onwards, this was probably the last run that will be possible in such good snow at this altitude.
