Snow condition

At this altitude, everything is well snowed in, but the occasional stone is slowly coming out.

Snow quality

Mostly wind-pressed, further down on the sunny side fine firn and wet snow

Very stable both at the top and bottom of the shade. Even the strong wind only transported a little. Diurnal cycle clearly noticeable on certain slopes

Overall impression

Quite windy and longer hatscher up to the Hochkönig. The descent was better than I had feared, making it a great day overall
