Descent to valley (to 1600 m)

Very good overall, we were able to ski down to 1600 on the south side. Over the last three days, it got rapidly thinner at lower altitudes - but that's fine to start ski tours with skis on your back at Easter...

Breakable crust
Wet snow
Firn
Powder snow
Jelly snow

Difficult to say in general. Above approx. 2500m, there is still some powder in the north and east exposures. Some steep south or west-facing slopes have broken snow. Firn can be found primarily on moderately steep slopes southwest to southeast. Where there is a cool breeze, we found perfect firn even at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

Risks

Diurnal warming

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Just wet snow... At half past 12 it was already very swampy on the deep southern slopes.

Mega good days in the Medels group! If you're looking for powder, you'll find it on shady slopes. If you're looking for firn, you should be out and about early. We left today at half past ten at 2800m. It was perfect for the 25-30 degree firn slopes (east/southeast), but the south-facing slopes in the valley and the steep summit slope (~35 degrees) were already critically wet.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
