Snow condition

A lot has melted since last weekend, no wonder with 25 degrees in the Rhine valley and a good 15 degrees at the summit. From Rinken and Stollenbach it's just about possible with a bit of carrying. Baldenweger Buck and Zastler are still going well.

Snow quality

Pretty soggy snow cover. Only a few shady spots in the Zastler were a bit "harder", otherwise everything was nice and slushy to sluggish...

Risk of sunburn and risk of cornice breakage during the day.

Overall impression

War das die letzte Skitour im Schwarzwald für diesen sehr abwechslungsreichen Winter? Erst recht früh recht wenig Schnee, dann im Januar 4 Wahnsinstage mit perfekten Powderlines zwischen Kirschbäumen in Badisch Columbia und dann im Februar die große Wärme, die fast die gesamte Schneedecke wegfraß. Nun mit dem neuerlichen Schnee im März nochmal ein paar schöne Tage. Man ist nun so gut wie alleine unterwegs, und mal sehen ob nochmal nennenswert etwas herunterkommt. Ansonsten war das heute ein netter Abschluss im Tshirt, fantastischen Wetter und nur ganz wenig Tragen. Insgesamt war das eine sehr ordentliche Saison im Schwarzwald.
