Snow condition

Today there was intensive track work in 30 cm to 40 cm of fresh snow (snowfall has been continuing since Monday evening). We were out in a wind-protected high forest where the snow conditions are still quite good. There, too, you come into contact with the enemy from time to time. Other exposures look rather bad. As the overall situation won't get any better as the days get warmer, we're only giving it 2 stars.

It was quite relaxed here in the sheltered area. There was only some sluff in the steeper terrain. In wind-exposed terrain, you should pay close attention to the drift snow.

Overall impression

I didn't expect it to be this good when I started early in the morning. Today was very good again, lots of fresh snow with very good quality, no/hardly any wind influence in our terrain and a free choice of lines. Unfortunately, the heat is coming now...
