Snow condition
you can actually only get down to meadows up to 1000m. below that there is some snow again, but it's not really usable. You can only ski where there was a base before, i.e. facing away from the sun, usually above 1300m. the snow cover has become more inhomogeneous again due to the wind. Otherwise less exposed ridges are partly bare, wind scour around some trees, but also nicely filled up, gullies, hollows, aisles
Snow quality
in the morning a very light cap on the otherwise well-preserved powder. but hardly disturbed when driving downhill or dissolved depending on the exposure. until noon on West still really nice and dusty, soft and fast!
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
drifting snow. no observation of wet or sliding snow movements in the comparatively gentle terrain until midday
Overall impression
it's hard to say whether it's worth it again tomorrow. since this afternoon it's been covered with a gray veil of foehn, and it's very warm even at altitude. probably tomorrow there will only be cardboard or hard snow even in the shadiest north gully. Today was brilliant with the early start.
