Exposition
Snow condition
Largely unchanged since the March winter. Start/finish in the shady valley on a forest road below 1000 m possible. The high areas and gullies/hollows are well filled. You can still get through the mountain pine belt, even if many look out.
Snow quality
On the ascent, you can get up to 1600 m on the north side with soaking wet skins, then a few half-hearted studs in the very steep section indicate that there are still the last compact powder remains with cold reserves. unfortunately, I don't know of any tour in the area where you could really make use of this. the second star is because it was worlds better than the concrete from last Saturday in the same place. Heavy everywhere, also very slow in the sun, in the (tree) shade partly a faster preliminary stage to firn. From 10:00 onwards, the cover was only slightly pronounced or already gone, hardly disturbing.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
it is definitely advisable to be out of the danger zone at midday. in the north-facing lane30°, you build half a snowman (bollen) with every turn of the brakes at 12 o'clock
Overall impression
after a dream morning yesterday, we had to try again today. the card players know it: The cards are too bad to pull someone into a hopeless play (bruchharsch, beton), but with a lot of luck a color solo (conserved Pow) can go through - you have to try it. Well, ultimately lost, but tailor free (soft, not braking everywhere). With a clear night, the tracks and bolls soon merge into an abstract concrete work of art and skiing down will be hell. It won't be firn here in the foreseeable future.
