Snow condition

There is still quite a bit of snow in the shadow of the Wetterstein range, much more than in the Karwendel. Although it was bare in the forest, we were able to start from the parking lot at 1000m on skis via the forest road.

Snow quality

Disgusting Baz, also in the Karen above....

We turned back at around 1800m. On the one hand, because it wasn't any fun and on the other hand, because some of the wet snow was the size of a fridge and came out of the steep walls above - even though the sun was hardly shining.

Overall impression

Heute war es gar nicht lohnend. Wenn der Dump morgen und übermorgen nochmal einen halben Meter liefert, gehen sich vielleicht noch ein paar schöne Tage aus. Die Schneedecke ist klatschnass, 15cm Pulver werden da wenig ausrichten.
