Snow condition
There is still quite a bit of snow in the shadow of the Wetterstein range, much more than in the Karwendel. Although it was bare in the forest, we were able to start from the parking lot at 1000m on skis via the forest road.
Snow quality
Disgusting Baz, also in the Karen above....
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
We turned back at around 1800m. On the one hand, because it wasn't any fun and on the other hand, because some of the wet snow was the size of a fridge and came out of the steep walls above - even though the sun was hardly shining.
Overall impression
It wasn't worth it today. If the dump delivers another half a meter tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, we might have a few more nice days. The snow cover is soaking wet, 15cm of powder won't do much.
