Snow condition

started from the pass road on skis.

Snow quality

Up to 2100 rather heavy fresh snow, above that powder as in the deepest winter.

Fresh drifting snow on damp old snow and poor visibility at times were the main hazards.

Overall impression

A ski tour in very wintry conditions once again. Fog makes orientation and assessment of the terrain difficult. That's why we chose a well-known easy tour. Great powder in the upper section and temperatures that felt like the depths of winter.
