Stone Contact avoidable
Variations of snow cover

Another 40 cm or so have been added since Tuesday. The first limited off-road activities are possible with a defensive approach. However, the tracks to Langwied looked more like gear reviews.

Snow quality

Breakable crust
Powder snow

On the purely north-facing side, you will find settled powder snow. However, almost the entire terrain is completely tracked (there were also many ski tourers out and about). On the sunny side, however, the quality will change quickly due to today's temperatures in the plus range.

Risks

Old snow problem
Crevasse or fall danger
South-East South

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

The first small wet snow avalanches have come down from very steep south-facing slopes. The problem of old snow should be borne in mind in the high Alps.

Overall impression

Worse

Lots of activity on the glacier.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
